If you’re on a Mac, and missed your CHM files, I’ve been there. I’ve tried most (if not all) CHM reader for Mac. Chamonix, Chmosx, Chmox, iChm, xCHM, you name it. After some searching hours, I found ArCHMock. It feels like finding an oasis!
Here’s why:
- It’s fast, really! (load, search, everything)
- Great interface (leopard-ish, highlighting search result)
- Great search (relevance sort, search as you type)
- It’s free!
Many thanks to Vyacheslav Zakovyrya for creating ArCHMock, reading CHM on Mac OS X Leopard is fun again!
Blogged with the Flock Browser

Hi all, just realized that i set the comments to moderated mode (LOL).
lambrtz: the other articles are outdated, so i decided to move them to trash. If you’re interested in particular topic, let me know. Perhaps i’ll write a new article on it
Really?? I’ll try it…I usually use xCHM…If this software more powerful than the others, yeah…I’ll use it and make a migration (Hahaha…)..Ok, thanks for your info brotha..Khekhee. Anyway, how’s life? Hmmm…Do you have another recommendation for mac software?
Well, ArCHMock crashes immediately it’s launched (under 10.4.11 on my Quad G5 PPC Mac).
Sorry, back to the drawing board…
Hi, Mike. Sorry to hear that, looks like it’s for Leopard only.
